True Education

"Education is the backbone of a nation"- is the most heard proverb but is that true? Or is that really mean to us? I mean do we really think it is true?
I know most of us would say "Yes, it is true." But I have a problem with this sentence. I would never like to say this as a proverb. I will say it "a sentence". Why I'm saying this is not the base fact. The base fact is, "Education is the backbone of a nation". I don't understand why do we say this. "Education" can do nothing t us. I'm saying this because in our society, we all get educated to have a certificate. A certificate means that I am quite well educated. A sheet of paper have no rights to prove me educated or uneducated. How do a sheet of paper decide that? We just read and write. We just read without understanding anything of the text or context. All we want to cross the examination & get that bullshit certificate. Do you know the passing rate of our country in S.S.C H.S.C or Hons. or even in Masters? You won't believe it. Almost 90% to the first one & almost 80%, 75% & 65% for the rest respectively. What do you think we are more attentive & qualified than other country's students? No, guys. We are also the same as others. The question arise, how does the passing percentage come so high? The answer is, others read to learn but we read to get the certificate. Others read to utilize their education in their real life. But we read to get the certificate. Others read to be the same what they are studying but we read to get the certificate. Let me explain the fact. In other countries, the student who choose to study in Science faculty, that means they would like to join somewhere related to Science; that could be Engineering, Medical or others. But here in our country the students who have the M.Sc degree are working in a bank as a manager or marketing officer or in other post. The guy who studied M.B.A is applying for a Marketing Job or doing the job of a Journalist. Can you believe it? I know you can't but this is the reality.
If education will be the backbone of a nation, then we must have a strong backbone & we will be the top of the world. This type of education can never be the backbone of a nation.
We have to change our mentality among education. We have to read not to get the certificate but to learn & apply them in our real life. google-site-verification: google4060738ef72b515e.html
